No thoughtful words nor kind advice
No scrolls of wisdom from the ancient wise
No heartfelt hug, no loving embrace
No tender touch that caresses my face
Nothing can soothe and melt my pain
And turn grey skies bright blue again
Better than the tears of my kindred soul
Who feels my pain deep in his bones
And whose heart aches with unspeakable grief
When my smile plays a game of hide-and-seek
When my strength fails me in stormy times
When wounds cut deep, tears cloud my mind
There is no better salve nor sweet solace
Than a soft tear drop that rolls down your face
